My Redeemer Lives
Shook Foil Projects takes it’s name from the Gerard Manley Hopkins poem, God’s Grandeur. “The world is charged with the grandeur of God. It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;” At Covenant Fellowship Church, in Glen Mills, PA, we have experienced the grandeur of God in many ways over the years, as the grace of Jesus pours out into our lives, and flames out gloriously into the world through sins forgiven, lives changed, and songs sung.
This version of Samuel Medley’s hymn “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”, with added chorus by Dave Fournier, is a song that our community has been singing during Easter (and other times) for many years. We produced this recording to give our church something to take home with them this Easter, and we wanted to offer it to anyone else who may be encouraged by its message. “What sweet joy this sentence gives – My Redeemer lives!”
