Music

"Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing praises! Sing praises to the LORD with the lyre, with the lyre and the sound of melody!"–Psalm 98:4-5

We have been created to bring glory to God alone, our whole lives are to be lived as worship to him. God has given us music as one tool to help us do that when we gather together as a church. The gift of music helps us as we develop and deepen our relationship with Him.

At Covenant Fellowship Church, the Music Ministry exists to identify, train and deploy musicians who will humbly and skillfully serve God’s purposes for and through the church. We also desire to equip the church in general musical knowledge that will enhance the use of music in glorifying God.

My Redeemer Lives

Shook Foil Projects takes it’s name from the Gerard Manley Hopkins poem, God’s Grandeur. “The world is charged with the grandeur of God. It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;” At Covenant Fellowship Church, in Glen Mills, PA, we have experienced the grandeur of God in many ways over the years, as the grace of Jesus pours out into our lives, and flames out gloriously into the world through sins forgiven, lives changed, and songs sung.

This version of Samuel Medley’s hymn “I Know That My Redeemer Lives”, with added chorus by Dave Fournier, is a song that our community has been singing during Easter (and other times) for many years. We produced this recording to give our church something to take home with them this Easter, and we wanted to offer it to anyone else who may be encouraged by its message. “What sweet joy this sentence gives – My Redeemer lives!”
