Serving Locally

“If you want to develop a burden for the lost, go out and talk to the lost and find out how lost they really are. If you desire to have the crucial nature of evangelism branded on your heart, go out and do it, and you will become convinced of just how crucial it is. If you want to develop the conviction that Jesus does indeed change lives, take His life-changing message to others and see if this isn’t true.” –Mark McCloskey

"We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only
the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us."

– 1 Thessalonians 2:8

Pursue & Proclaim

is our overall evangelism strategy here at Covenant Fellowship Church. We strive to pursue authentic relationships with the lost and take the initiative to proclaim the gospel through these friendships. We want to share our lives not only with those inside the church, but those outside as well.

Below are three defining messages we gave to introduce this strategy to our church. Please listen to them, absorb the content, and join us as we seek to grow as a church that is faithful to Pursue & Proclaim!

  1. Pursue & Proclaim, Part I
    Jim Donohue, Romans 10:1-15
  2. Pursue & Proclaim, Part II
    Mark Prater, 1 Thessalonians 2:1-8
  3. What's Your Plan?
    Jim Donohue, Colossians 4:2-6

To get more training in personal evangelism, we've also developed the Proclaim Course which you can take as a Discipleship Course.

Gospel Outreach

Gospel Outreach (GO) is our approach to real-life evangelism training. It’s a form of initiative evangelism where we go to public venues to share the gospel in pairs or one-on-one. Some people like to use a spiritual questionnaire and our  How Good Are You? tract to engage people. Others simply prefer to get into spiritual conversations.

The goal of GO is both to spread the powerful and often unheard message of salvation, and also to "have the crucial nature of evangelism branded on (our) heart." You can get regular GO training at any of our monthly Second Sundays. Our Community Groups do a Gospel Outreach together once a year.
